The times of the school sessions are as follows:

Morning 9.00 to 12.00 noon (Key Stage 1)
  9.00 to 12.15 (Key Stage 2)
Afternoon 1.10 to 3.30 p.m. (all children up to and including Year 2)
  1.15 to 3.30 p.m (all other children)

(Older Key Stage 2 pupils do not have an afternoon playtime)

Parents should note that the children should not arrive at school prior to 8.50 a.m.

For the ten minutes prior to 9.00 a.m. start of school, we allow the children to choose whether to be in the playground, or to come into school to be in the classroom.

Please note however that there is no adult on outside duty before the start of school so children remain the parents' responsibility until they come into the classroom from 8.50 a.m. (or before 1.10 p.m. if your child has been off the school premises for lunch).

One of the first tasks of each class teacher is to mark the attendance register so that we know who is at school. If your child arrives after 9.05 a.m. in the morning or 1.20 p.m. in the afternoon when registers close, he or she will be marked "late".

If you do not send in a note or telephone the school explaining the reason for any absence, your child will be marked "Absent without authorisation" in the register.

If you are held up for any reason so you cannot collect your child promptly, please telephone the school, so we can reassure your child and let the teacher concerned know of the situation. We can arrange supervision beyond normal school closure time, though only for a limited period.

Please warn us if someone different from normal is coming to collect your child.
Staff will be on duty at morning and afternoon playtimes, over the lunchbreak and they will see the children off on their way home at 3.30 p.m.
