It Was Red Nose Day
On Friday 24th of March Smithy Bridge Primary School held our Red Day in aid of Comic Relief! All pupils came dressed in red and enjoyed a fun filled start to the day. As the sun was shining we had an outdoor parade whereby each class had a unique crazy wave and then we enjoyed some crazy dancing! Mrs George led the parade and was very visible with her specially made Comic Relief Jo-Jo Bow. Throughout the week children have been understanding the reasons why we are fundraising for this worthwhile charity and Hassan’s story has been the focus of assemblies and follow up work.

Red noses were a sell out and one lucky girl from class 9 even managed to get a rare 1 in 1000 Frankinose! We will keep you updated on the newsletter of our final amount of money raised but we are hoping it will be in excess of £600.00! |
