Rainbow Challenges

Now the Nursery children are well settled in their environment, we have now introduced our ‘Rainbow Challenges’. Each child has their own pocket to collect their coloured sticks in. The target is to collect all 7 different coloured lolly sticks by Friday. They do this by completing a range of activities set around Nursery each week. The activities will be based in both the indoor and outdoor classrooms and will cover all the different areas of the Nursery curriculum. All children that complete all 7 challenges will receive a special reward certificate in our Early Years Achievement Assembly. Our photographs show some of our first challenges - shape hunting, identifying 2D shapes buried in ice, fastening our zip, using a cocktail stick to make a 'prick picture' and completing a giant jig saw. We will be putting lots more pictures on soon to keep you informed about our Rainbow Challenges.
