River Walk
More Adventures in Ealees

Class 14 have been on a fantastic field trip to
the Ealees Valley to support our work on rivers.
We studied the features of the river, looked
at methods used to protect the land from
river erosion, and identified historical sites
in the local area such as the old pit
entrance and weavers’ cottage.
We timed how fast the flow
of the river was, and heroic
Mrs Larder braved the water
to measure its width
and depth!
